In 1900 seven men began the Acadia Holiness
Association (AHA) to "Unite the efforts of Christian Men and Women in aiding
the cause of Christ by establishing and maintaining a Holiness Campground for
the propagation of the Gospel and the elevation of mankind in the doctrine of
holiness and Christian perfection." These men wanted to see
holiness spread in the Ebenezer community and the surrounding communities:
Archie Hoffpauir, president
Henry Faulk, secretary
Nathaniel Faulk, treasurer
William Faulk, trustee
Ed Smith, trustee
D. B. Henry, trustee
Ivy Hoffpauir, trustee
For over 100 years the Acadia Holiness Association has promoted holiness through it's annual Camp Meeting (known as The Ebenezer Camp Meeting). Many men and women have served on the AHA board and we are very thankful for all their hard work and prayerful direction they have provided in keeping the Ebenezer Camp Meeting focused on it's original purpose - the preaching of holiness of heart and life to the community.
