The church provides the college/university with students, administrative and faculty leadership, and financial and spiritual support... The church college/university, while not a local congregation, is an integral part of the church; it is an expression of the church." In holding to this philosophy, the Church of the Nazarene owns and operates 11 liberal arts institutions in Africa, Canada, Korea, and the United States, as well as 3 graduate seminaries, 37 undergraduate Bible/theological colleges, 3 nurses' training colleges, 1 junior college, and 1 education college worldwide. Over 40,800 students are enrolled in these 56 Nazarene institutions of higher education. The largest Nazarene university is Korea Nazarene University, with over 5,300 students. Nazarene educational institutions are overseen by the Nazarene International Board of Education (IBOE).
