To be a Christian
Would you like to be a Christian? There are a few simple steps to
become a Christian:
Admit
Admit you're a sinner. Everyone has done things that displeases God -
we have all sinned, so admit it.
"All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23
Believe
Believe that Jesus died on the cross for you! God loves you and wants you
to become His child. He loves you so much that He sent His Son, Jesus, to
shed His blood, in death on the cross, to save you from your sins. Believe
that He died for you, was buried, and rose again on the third day.
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that
whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
John 3:16
"Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be
saved."
Acts 16:31
Confess
Confess all your sins to God - being sincerely sorry
for your sinfulness - telling God that you are sorry - then begin living to
please Him.
"God be merciful to me a sinner." Luke 18:13
"If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." Romans 10:9
"Whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved." Romans 10:13
Pray
Here is a sample prayer that, if you mean
what you say, will change your life:
Dear God, I admit I am a sinner in need of you. Please forgive me of my sins and give me abundant life here on earth and eternal life with you in heaven. I believe Jesus died and rose again for my sins. I confess Jesus as Lord and Savior of my life. Thank you for saving me. In Jesus' name, Amen.

ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.
